For my card, I have used a background made from Masking, Inks and Script Stamp from Indigo Blu. I cut Tim Holtz Clock die from Grungepaper and distressed it by painting, sanding, inking and a touch of Inka Gold.

I used Tim's Vintage Market die for the wording covered with Glossy Accents, and Tim's Autumn Gatherings for the foliage. And as it's Tim's very own birthday today, I would like to send him my very best wishes!

Wow, I loved doing this one today, what a wonderful end to the Tags this year! I didn't have the Fractured Doll, so used a stamped image. I made my own music tissue paper and had no silver tinsel. But all in all, I enjoyed every minute of this one, and am so sad there will be no more until next December!

Well. I wasn't that keen to use the Santa that Tim used, I really wanted to use the Lamp post - I don't have the Die, but really love it! So I hand cut one and used that instead. I used the shrink plastic coated with Utee, but didn't have a Holly Die, so had to stamp some instead.

Really enjoyed this one, loved the transfer technique and the Faux Mercury Glass effect! I used Silent Night background instead of a Music one. Didn't want to use the banner, so used Tim's oval plate from Tag Die for the sentiment. I didn't have any Fragments, so used one of his square memory frames. I used Greenery and berries instead of Tinsel for the corner!

Loved all the embossing on this one! Had to wait for a few of the bits and bobs to dry - but loved improvising again. Didn't have the candle die, so handcut it - and used greenery from autumn blessings as haven't got the festive one, but love how it turned out.

It's Snow time at CYDA!

For my project, I have made a Candy Jar from an old Coffee Jar. All supplies used are my own stash apart from the beautiful Memory Box Frosty Border Die.

I use a styrofoam ball for the head and coloured brads with black Promarker. I made his hat with cardboard, and made a neck ruffle with pleated paper and gathered lace.

I used a ribbon to dangle small jingle bells, pearls, twine, bauble and siver snowflakes to one side.

Inside the jar I have put white strands, tiny pearls, large pearls, glitter and snowflakes.

It seems to be just the right size for Candy Canes!

Oh, I think this is my fave! Or was it yesterday's? lol!! I love them all. This does have a lovely traditional elegance about it. I didn't have the Branch Die, so hand cut them - or the Holly Die and Glassine, so I used frosted plastic instead and covered it with Alcohol Ink! It seems to have worked ok! I also used Flower Soft as snow on the branches.

I know I'm a little late with this, and I really had no embossing folders that were christmas themed until today, when Tims embossing set dropped through the door! I really wanted to try this awesome enamelled tin effect. So have used the folder Tim used on Day 3.

I adore this technique - and will definately be using it more often!

Well, after yesterday's marathon - today's was pretty easy! I wasn't overkeen with the Alcohol Ink resist technique, I tried it on the Fragment last year, and couldn't get the hang of it, so expected to try 3 or 4 times this time around! But NO, it worked like magic today, and was really pleased the way it turned out.

I didn't have the reverse stamp, and only had one red AI, but I did have the Tag and Crest die!

It's bound to be another marathon tomorrow I guess!

On to Day 4, and a bit of a marathon, leaving everything to dry! Still didn't have much of anything Tim used. No snowman, snowflake, or 25 die, so had to hand cut them, no snowflake edge die, so used the flourish one instead. I did have the Rock Candy Crackle and Glossy accents though! Took a bit longer to work through, but thoroughly enjoyed it, and can't wait for tomorrow!

Well, another day of nothing that Tim used but the Tag and Distress Inks, but we got there eventually!

I didn't have Tim's Stamp, so gathered up as many Xmas Text ones that I could find, and used different inks to stamp them all over the tag. I also didn't have the embossing folder, so used a snowflake one instead. I made the tag more Vintagy looking than Tim did, as I wanted a more aged look. I used the Autumn Gatherings Die for the foilage, and found a few fairy bulb lights, and small silver bells.

Day 2

On to Day 2, and still nothing of what Tim used, but Inks again! But, loving the challenge, so used a Music background stamp, and foam Together stamp for base. Used watered Acrylic paint ontop of it, and masked off a Holly stamp. Didn't have his reindeer die, or sticky canvas, so cut out the deer by hand on grungepaper and stuck some plain canvas on with medium gel. Love how it turned out though!

It's that time again!

It's the MOST wonderful time of the year! Yay......Mr Holtz has his first tag up and running today, and it's gorgeous! As usual I had none of the main elements, apart from the inks ...lol!!! But it's the very thing that makes it Sooo special, the improvisation.

I didn't have the Kraft core card, or the TH embossing folder, but got by with a similar one! I didn't have the tattered banner, but used music paper and inks. I didn't have Pinecone Die, so made my own with fancy scissors and brown card. I didn't have the Festive greenery, so used some from the Autumn Gathering Die and other foliage punches. I also didn't have the Noel Die, so used some other glittered Alpha's.

All in all, i'm pleased the way it came out, and most important, I loved it!

For my project, I have made a Fabric Cuff from Canvas. I have stamped a "Shabby" definition stamp over the background and frayed all edges. I then used more frayed canvas to make the rolled flowers.

I have used roses from a set by Papermania for the background too. I have sewn small pearl beads

along the edges and over the rolled flowers.

The button was made the same as background and sewn to form a fastening.

For my project, I have made a Card and Gift -Card Holder.

The Cupcake Gift-Card Holder itself , has been made from recycled plastic Ice Cream lids from McDonalds! I glued two of them together at the widest point to make a ball shape, and made a wide slit across the top to accomodate the Gift Card. (I have used a Tag)

To decorate I used a hot glue gun and stuck fabric flowers, ribbons, lace, beads and twisted crepe paper.

The spotted paper was a freebie in a magazine, and the rose and petals at the top of the cupcake lift up to reveal the Gift-Card/Tag.

I have used various beads as sprinkles along the white lace on the top. The card has an image from a set from Elzybells, and has been coloured with Promarkers.

Photo Inspiration at CYDA.

Good morning, we are on to Challenge 13 at Craft Your Days Away , and the challenge this week has been set yours truly!

This time is a Photo Inspiration Challenge

For my project, I have made a card that unfolds, and fastens with a Belly Band that closes at the back with velcro dots. I don't really know the proper name for them!

Anyhow, I like different fold cards, and thought I would have a go! I liked how it turned out though, and will be making some more. I found the directions HERE.

I started off with 12x12 white card for the base, and punched all the way around with a MS Punch. I have used Papers by Bearly Mine and red card. I have finished it off with gathered red organza ribbon and white satin ribbon, roses by Wild Orchid and a shiny red heart.

This is the card opened, I have added another rose and Crealies Foilage Die.

Anything Goes at CYDA!

For my project, I have made a 20x4 in Shabby Chic wooden sign for my Grandaughter's bedroom.

I found an odd piece of wood in the garage and sanded it smooth, then I drilled two holes at the top for the wire to hang from. I painted it white and used Tim Holtz crackle paint around the edges, when dry I painted dusky pink paint over the crackle and wiped off with a baby wipe.

I used a font off my PC for the Lettering and hand painted it with a pink metallic paint. I used wire to hang it from and finished it off with a gem heart and ribbons.

For my card I have used Donna's sketch with her gorgeous papers, and image is from Kenny K, Kitty Katastrophe. She is coloured with Promarkers, and mounted onto a Nestie. I have finished it off with

Day 12 of Tim's Tags.

Ohh, I loved doing today's Tag, I had a feeling it may be the ornaments, and I wasn't dissapointed! Although I don't have Tim's Seasonal Stash, or the Ornanment Die and JOY shaper, I have been in my element making it using Nesties ovals and my own eye! But I love how it turned out, and have kept a template for future use, I used a sheet of music for the background and used DI's in similar colours as Tim's Paper. I did have the Seasonal Stickers, so used one across the middle. My Pine Cones are a bit larger than Tim's but I loved the dimension of them. My corners are from Sizzix and covered with Distress Embossing Powder and rubbed with metallic Rub On stuff in gold.

I'm sad these are over for this year, and will be lost at 8 a.m. tomorrow!

Day 11 of Tim's Tags.

Can't believe we are on to Day 11 already, only one more to go! I have just LOVED doing these, and always thought you needed loads of Tim's stuff to play along, how stupid of me! Of course, I think the only definate things you really need are the Tags and maybe Distress Inks. The best thing I have learnt along the way, are using the techniques that he teaches, that alone, makes it worth playing along. No, I haven't had all of the Dies, Stamps and trinkets every day, but I have totally enjoyed using what I do have, and as Tim says, his are only a guide! So yes, I am a convert to this wonderful tradition that happens for 12 Days in December and really can't wait for next years!

Anyhow, loved doing today's, I didn't have the dictionary paper, or the Pine and Snowflake Die, or the metal bookplate, but I love how it turned out, as I still used the technique Tim used today. I so need to try making my own stamps though, that was totally cool. Just didn't know whether to chance running Foam through the Big Shot!

I used a Marianne Die for the Trees, as it's a lot smaller than Tim's I used two. I used the bookplate in grungepaper from Tim's Tag Die and embossed it silver. The "Believe" is actually Silver although it looks white with the light on the pic. The backround wording stamp is from My Paper World.

I have used a punched border in the bottom right corner, and finished off with Ribbon, Leaves, Beads and Flowers.

Day 9 and 10 of Tim's Tags.

Started this yesterday, but was out most of the day, so finished it this morning. Loved the vintage feel of this one, didn't have the rossette die so made my own. Only had the VM die for the lettering, so used that, think it's a bit larger than the OUAT die, but it fit, only just!

Trinkets and buttons from my stash.

Mmm, have to say, not my favourite of Tim's this year! The good thing is it took no time at all to do.

Didn't have the Snowman Die, so cut my own from Grungepaper. Also I didn't have the snowflake folder, so used the Cuttlebug Swirls. Could only find a DooDad with Wish on so stuck that to the copper disc.

Not really into this one much, but only 2 more to do!

Day 8 of Tim's Tags.

Well, am I glad I ordered those masks last week! Just loved making today's Tag. So in awe of learning new things to do from the Timster.

The slight problem I had with today, was that when I stamped the music over the mask, it didn't all stamp. So had to do it in small stages but got there, kind of! I didn't have the On The Edge Houses, so i cut a row from grungepaper. Didn't have any metal corners or clock face, so I found this clock one in my stash, from a car-boot I think. The corners are made from grungepaper covered with Black Soot embossing powder and rubed over with white Stazon.

I did have a Dymo, but my tape was red, and it didn't show up too well on the sleigh, so I cut some strips of black card and fed them through - after they were printed I went over just the raised letters with a white Ranger Pen.

For my card, I have used backing paper by Donna at Bearly Mine, and used an embossed panel by Creative Expressions in Brick design which I inked with Faded Jeans DI. Scalloped Nesties has been used for the image, using the "off the edge" technique. To finish, I used ball chain, Metal "Whatever" Tag and clear Gems.

Day 7 of Tim's Tags!

This SOooo has to be my favourite so far! I loved that rough bark effect with that delicate flower.

OK, so I had the tattered floral, and Swirls Die and the grunge alpha. I just didn't have anything that resembled a bark! So, I gave in and went to the local Craft Shop to see what I could source! Considering I was only going for an embossing folder, I came away with a shed-load...lol. well, you have to, don't you?

The only bark one I found was this one, by Creative Expressions and it's a bit larger too, which meant it covered the whole Tag! I didn't have any Sticky Canvas, so I made my own by sticking Muslin to Grungepaper before colouring with Glimmer Mists and Rangers Pearl Sprays. Gotta love that effect of the Rock Candy when it spreads over the ink, so soft and hazy!

Apart from exceptionally inky fingers, I really enjoyed doing this one.

Days 5&6 of Tim's Tags.

Ok, I know these aren't Tim's Tags, but these are what made me miss

posting yesterday's Tag! I wanted some Teal Poinsettia's to go on my Tree, but could I find 'em anywhere? So, I bought some bunches of 3 white one's from B&Q and they measure about 6 inches across.

I pulled all the layers apart and sprayed them with Glimmer Mist, waited till they dried and sprayed fake snow on top. Love how they match my room now! Anyhow, that's what I did yesterday............

So for day 5, out came the wonderful Santa from Rubber Stampede again! I covered his beard with Glimmer Glam to make it sparkle, had no fluffy stuff that Tim had used! Holly Stamp by My Paper World, cut my own Label shape from Grungepaper, and used Antique Linen Crackle paint to cover. Once dry I painted over with green paint. I had no metal numbers, so cut them on my Cricut, painted them white and sanded the edges, the clear embossed them.

Day 6 was just cheating all the way really! I have no reindeer dies, Pines or any christmassy embossing folders, so stamped my pines onto the Tag. I cut the reindeer from a Cricut cartridge and stamped snowflakes over it.

Made the tissue paper from stamped music from Crafty Individuals and embossed the greeting.

Day 4 of Tim's Tags.

I think this was my favourite so far!, I say that every day - but I loved doing this one. I love the way Santa looks like he's emerging from the night into the glow of a cosy warm cottage! lol....

I love the way the Timster encourages us to try new things even if we don't have everything he does, and I wonder why I have never played along with these before. Boy, is it going to be a definate annual thing now!

No, I didn't have his Seasonal Stack, Baubles or Facets, but I have loved trying to recreate his wonderful tag this morning. And I can't wait for tomorrow.

Firstly I stamped the gorgeous Santa by Rubber Stampede in Sepia dirctly to the Tag, I coloured his face,cheeks, eyes and a bit of his hat with Chalks to give a soft effect.

Then I inked the backround of the Tag with Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire DI's I used snowflake stamps from My Paper World around Santa with white Stazon.

I stamped the greeting with Fired Brick DI.

I started to colour a piece of 2x2 memory glass with Stream Alcohol Ink but it broke in half, which I was chuffed about, as it made it small enough to go on the Tag better!

I finished off with diamante swirls, sticky back pearls, Tim's Ticket and my Seam Binding arrived from E-Bay!!

Day 3 of Tim's Tags.

Yay! Another groundhog day, and it's working wonders for my mojo! See, this morning at 8 a.m. I really should have know that whatever Tim had put on his Tag, I most certainly wouldn't have it. I was right, NO bird die, NO tree stamp, NO tissue tape and my Salvage Sticker's are stuck in the snow somewhere!

Did it stop me? Nope, bring it on Timster!

Ok, so the first thing that set my heart racing was that my new Serenade Cricut Cartridge came last week, and yep, there were 4 bird shapes to choose from! I settled on this little guy, coz he's the closest looking one to Timbird. He got stamped with Music Score and inked red and Rock Candied.

I did have the inks Tim used today, and a spatter stamp, boy was I on a roll now!

But.....the TREE!! I had nothing that even resembled that gorgeous branch. So, I drew it free hand with a pencil, and went over it with a fineliner pen, it's not as dark as I'd like, but I think it works.

Although I had stamped Mr. Bird with a stamp and not Tissue Roll, I was worried about the flower. So after finding some tissue paper, I found my Music Definition Stamp by Purple Onion, and set to work stamping strips for the flower, I used DS tape on the back and made my flower as Tim did in the video. Simples!

I printed of a Scroll after editing it with wording and made the sign, I also made a seal for it too.

All in I'm really happy with how it turned out. As for day 4, I feel a reindeer emerging....bring it on!!

Day 2 of Tim's Tags.

Ok, so I look at Tim's Tag 2 this morning and think, looks easier than yesterday's 3 hour toil!

To be fair, it was. But as I read through Tim's instructions, I realised that after yesterday where I only had a 5th. of the stuff he used, today I only had the Tag!

But us Crafters are nothing if not versatile, so off I went through my stash and I'm pretty pleased with the result.

I loved the technique with Cut'n'Dry and Reinkers, but had neither, the only foilage christmas stamp I had was the holly one, and it was an outline stamp! Out came my coloured stamp markers and I embossed with clear powder. Now I had to colour the holly and berries in with promarkers, covered them with a clear embossing marker and clear powder and voila, my image was done. Next I didn't have the DI's that Tim used, so done the background with Broken China and Tumbled Glass. I do love the colours on this Tag, it reminds me of the 60's!

For the Flourishes, I used a set by Autumn Leaves and stamped them with Brushed Corduroy. The sentiment Stamp is one from way back - can't remember who by, and the writing is too thin to use the black glossy accents, which is good, coz I don't have that either! The Music Score stamp is by Crafty Individuals, and is quite small, so I put it at an angle.

I didn't have a bird charm, so used some bells instead, and had no baubles, so put together a large pearl bead with a red lightbulb, a silver sleighbell and a couple of other beads. I used organza ribbon and heated them with my gun to shrivel them, as I'm still waiting for my seam binding from e-bay!

Day 1 of Tim's Tags!

At last, it's Dec 1st. only 24 more days to go! But I was more excited about seeing Tim's first Tag this morning. I have watched from afar these last 3 years, but hopefully this time I will try to do all 12.

At first, I was a bit daunted when I saw it, as I don't have the Rickety House Die. I think that's half the fun of doing them though - so we can utilise what we do have. After hunting around for 5 minutes, I spotted my Bind-It-All Box, and ripped the top off - I needed some corrugated cardboard quick!

I drew the shape of the house from t'internet, and cut it out, then I ripped off the top layer of the cardboard to give me the rippled bit.

Next problem- I didn't have any Prima Branches, that's ok, I have loads of wire and florist tape! but it was green, not good on a winter tree. So, I coloured it brown with Promarkers and it came out just fine.

I DID have the fence die though, so that was something!

Have been cutting out my Alterations Tags for Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas ready for Dec. 1st.

Not long to wait now!!

I cut a few extra, and noticed that over at Simon Says Stamp and Show the theme this

week is to use a Tag.

All the stamps are Tim Holtz, Distress Inks in Tea Dye, Walnut Stain and Brushed Corduroy.

Small picture frame, clockface and watch cog has been coloured with bronze ink.

Large T is from Tim Holtz paper and I have used a couple of his DooDads too.

For my project, I have used a circle of chipboard approximately 12 inches round. I cut enough leaf die-cuts
to cover the circle using a hot glue gun, and edged them with white acrylic paint. The grungepaper flowers were cut with Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die and covered with gesso, and inked with Distress Inks.
The banner was made using a Pink Paislee Stamp and inked around the edges.
Ribbon was hot glued to the back.

I'm sure it's ages since I last joined in with Julia's soiree around other people's Craft Spaces, I never seem to have my camera in hand on Wednesdays! Although there's not a lot going on - I have been preparing! I've been Gesso-ing everything in sight! This little wooden box used to be Forest Green, and to be honest, I still don't know what it's destiny is yet. On the floor behind, are countless other things that are still drying from my - while I've got it out- (The Gesso, that is!) Blitz. I DO have something in mind for this lot on the floor, and for the wooden slats leaning against the drawers.

I also had a play with something I bought about 18 months ago and had never used.

This Black and Decker burny tool thingy, it has 6 different heads for using on stuff, and I made the little "Memories" sign on the white drawers by burning into the wood. I LOVE how it works and the smell of burning wood was gorgeous! I have this urge now to go around finding bits of wood to burn....ooh, I wonder if it will work with brass stencils?

For my project, I have used an old Sock Box. Well, what I mean is the Socks were new, but instead of throwing the box away. I decided to alter it!

It's about 3 inches deep and 4 inches high. I used paper from Nitwit Collections called NITWITVILLE and lined the inside of the box with Green checked paper. The little village houses and Trees were from the same kit, and printed in different sizes. I inked the edges with DI. I have used Stickles on Tilda's hat and Viva 3D Glitter Gel on the Tree-tops. I have put 2 battery tealights on either side of the box, but they don't show in the pic!

Tilda is coloured with Promarkers.

Hollydays!

Good evening, hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I have been trying to tidy up my Craft Room today, but didn't get very far.....I get easily disracted

when there's stuff to be made! Hopefully I'll try and finish it off tomorrow....

In the meantime, I made this card with some gorgeous Papers from the wonderful

they are just stunning, and print out so beautifully.

All White at CYDA.

For my card I have used a Spellbinders embossing folder and edged the side of the card with Magnolia's Doo Hickey Lace Die. I have added some white lace and white braiding.

Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks and Stickles onto watercolour paper. Cut with a Nesties Die, and

edged with more white braiding

To finish, I have added a white bow, feather and flatback pearls.

I have used a tiny jewellery tag for the sentiment.

Tea Light Card for ABC

For my project, I have made a Tea Light Card, it's the first time I have made one and they are

pretty easy to do. I think they make a nice gift, especially for Christmas.

I have used green cardstock as a base and used Papermania Deck The Halls Paper.

Martha Stewart Punch, Ribbon and Nesties Label Die.

Tilda is from the new Christmas release and is called "Tilda In Winter Night,"

she is coloured with Promarkers and Stickles.

Inside I have used a Nestie's Label Die, more paper and a "Christmas Time" Seal from

Catslife Press, purchased at the lovely Emma's Store.

She has some gorgeous stuff in there, and with speedy delivery!

A Recipe at CYDA.

For my project I have altered a large Asda's Coffee Tub into a Halloween Candy Tub, for scary visitors that come knocking!! It is approx 6" round. I used these two papers by the wonderful Rusty Pickle, Addams Family collection - Wednesday and Gomez.

I used the Cricut for the black ribbon swag, and used Scallop Circle nesties for the middle Halloween sentiment. The Skeletons and Spider were from a £1 bag of spooky things at Poundland! I think it will last another 10 years, as there's loads in there.

For the lid, I edged gathered Black lace, and Lilac Braiding, and used a Magnolia Doo-Hickey Die for the Tag - which was inked with TH Spiced Marmalade, and Shabby Shutters. Ribbons are from stash.

On to my project, I have made a pair of Booties and a matching Crib Card.

I ran the blue card through the Big Shot to emboss with Swiss Dot Folder first, then assembled the

Booties. I finished them off with White Braiding, Organza Bows, White Buttons and Blue Gems.

The Crib is made with embossed card and pleated paper. Using Braid, Bows, Pearl String and Flowers

to Decorate.

On to my card, I have used the delicious papers Rose Garden from Papermania. My image is mounted onto a Nesties Pendant Die and scalloped Oval. All edges have been Distressed with Sir Tim's Inks, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo. Tilda has also been coloured with Distress Inks onto watercolour paper.

I have finished it off with Stickles, Pearls, Ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid.

Happily Ever After!

I was playing around today with this Easel card and wanted a couple of large images and the Archway on it, but however much I tried it wouldn't fit! So I eventually decided to add an extra element and I love the way it has turned out. I call it a Side step Easel.

The DP's are from Anna Griffin, with a panel of Vellum that has been embossed with a TH folder.

The Die-cut Archway is from Susie at Die Cut Dreams, I inked it with some TH Tea Dye and Walnut Stain DI. The Magnolia Church and Tilda and Edwin Image have been coloured with Distress Inks.

The ovals are cut from Nellie Snellen Die and inked at the edges. I added lace from stash around the edges of the card, and finished off with Ribbons, Pearls, Charms and Braiding.

For my DT project I have made a Vintage Spool. It's made from an empty Loo Roll and some chipboard discs. I have covered it with Papermania DP's and made a tiny spool for Tilda to sit on.

For my card this time, I decided to make a start on my Christmas Cards! I have used Red, Green and Gold cardstock and used the Bookatrix Template to make a Book Easel Card. For the Ovals I used Nellie Snellen Dies, and threaded Red organza Ribbon around them. I also glued some Gold Beads in between the Ribbon. The Charms are a Gold Crucifix, and two Gold Christmas Trees.

The Flowers and Pine Branches are Die Cut from Marianne Creatables.

Hail To The Lord!

I'm SO loving this wonderful new challenge blog, it's utterly inspiring and so refreshing. The Management do a wonderful job headed by the talented Linda Elbourne

Well, how could anybody NOT be inspired by TH????????? His stuff is just uber-amazing.

I want that Ticket Die and Stamp Set!

The DT have made some awesome creations and here's my effort.

This is my Homage to TH and I shall hang it on my Craftroom wall!

It's a 12x12 Canvas. I covered it with DP by K&Co. called Vintage Typeology (I think!) I added some Distress Crackle around the edges and covered it with Vintage Photo DI. I used 3 of Tim's Masks and edged in Pumice Stone DI.

I inked up a Tag and used part of the Clock Mask to match up with the paper. I added some script and a couple of word stamps "Tim Style". The Chain and Clip on the Tag top are TH, the beads & tassel was an earing from a Car Boot Sale. The Satchel is a Rub-On and the Clockface and Ticket are from Google. I SO need this weeks prize! Keyhole is TH as is the MEMORIES stamp. The "Book" in the bottom left of Canvas is from Tim's DP, also the doo-dad. Pen Nib & Key is from my stash.

The Metal flower was run through the Wizzard and embossed with TH Folder. The No. 3, at bottom right of canvas is a metal Door Number from a Car Boot Sale, and seeing as it's week 3 at SSS&S, I thought it would be quite apt!

I couldn't resist adding a quote and Photo of the great man himself.

The whole of the Canvas has been edged at the sides with Tapemeasures.

Challenge #2 at CYDA.

We're on to challenge 2 at CYDA and this fortnight the theme is

THINGS WITH WINGS.

We want to see anything crafty as long as it has some Wings!

On to my project, I have had this little wooden box hanging around for a few years, and decided to alter it for this challenge. Firstly, I painted it all over with white Gesso. Then I covered over the Gesso with Duck-Egg Blue Acrylic Paint. I then sanded some of the blue paint back to show some of the white through.

I cut 4 small pieces of Webster's Pages DP to cover each of the quarters and inked the edges with TH Distress Inks. I coloured some white Braiding with Blue Promarkers to match the paint.

I started to fill each quarter with Punched branches and leaves, Roses, Muslin, Organza, Pearls, Buttons, Glass Dome, Stickles and some TH words. The large butterflies are from Elusive Images.

Simon Says Stamp and Show #2.

Linda Elbourne at the helm! I was sorry to miss week #1, but really loved the sound of this week's theme.

WENDY VECCHI STYLE!

Now, I do not own any of her stamps, but have admired her art as she is one uber-talented lady. But have you seen the prizes on offer? I just NEED that stuff!!

On to my canvas - I have reversed a mini 6x4 canvas and coated it with tissue paper that has been stamped with an ART definition, from Purple Onion. I then used Tea Dye Distress Ink to colour and coated it with Gel Medium.

I laid Cream Muslin in the centre and used 2 sets of Alpha Stamps to do the wording. Inking the edges of each letter with Tea Dye DI.

The Wendy style Rose is cut from Grungepaper with a Paper Artsy Flower & Leaf Die. It's the first time I have made one of these, and am pleased with how it turned out! The Rose was Inked with Worn Lipstick and Barn Door DI.

The Plaid on the Leaves was done with a background stamp from Darkroom Door.

I have used Tim Holtz branches from Regal Crest Die.

I have finished off with a butterfly die and a stamped pocket watch.

Metal Challenge - Altered Bean Can!

On to my DT project this time - I have used a Tin Can, an old Bean one actually! I have covered it with Card and Paper by Delish, with edges cut by MS Punch. I have added White Braiding to the top and bottom edges. The pearls are from a Hairclip that I dismantled, and have finished it off with small paper flowers. The Butterfly is Metal and I have used Rusty Wire for the handle. I think I'll be making some more of these as free and easy storage in my Craft Room!

Here's My DT card for ABC this fortnight. The Challenge is "V" which this time around is for Vintage.

On to my card - I have used a cream cardbase, and used K& Co Embossed Vellum with a button design on top. I have added some brown DP from MME and used an EK Success Punch along the edges. On top of that I have used a small cotton Doily and aged it with Distress Spray. The Timepiece and Image are printed onto Cotton too. I have used a flower Punch onto Book Pages for the Flower, and Distressed them. Finished off with a Die from Marianne, Punches from McGill and Punch Bunch, Ribbon, Butterfly, Pearls and Paper Flowers.

A Few Challenges.....

Thought I would try making a card with some Embossing Stencils by Anja at Marianne Designs. I do love the elegance of embossing, and thought that these Butterfly Stamps from Elusive Images would look good with them.

I have used a white Cardstock base and topped it with Vellum covered with embossed Butterflies.

I have used Nesties in Lilac and White for the top layer and white Embossed two larger Butterflies onto Vellum and cut them out and finished them with pearls.

I have finished off with a Lilac Ribbon, Ribbon Roses, McGill Punch and small pearls.

ABC - U is for Unused Stash!

Here's my DT card for this fornight's Challenge over at ABC where the theme is Unused Stash. I have SOoo much of that! But thought I would use something that I wouldn't normally use ever - Decoupage. I quite enjoyed it too, especially when it looks as mouth watering as this!

The cake sheet was a freebie, as was the Strawberry Stamp which I have coloured with Promarkers.

The Papers are from Webster's Pages and Papermania and I have finished off with a Doily edged with Distress Ink, Lace and Nestie.

Pocket Card

Here's another Sweet Pea - called Soft Goth Night, but I decided to colour her in softer colours!

I have mounted her onto a Cross Over Pocket Card. Papers are by 7 Gypsies which have had Distress Inks added. I have used Nellie Snellen Dies and finished off with Ribbons, Flowers and Punches by MS and Punch Bunch.

Stickles and Glitter Pens have been added too.

Once Upon A Time.....

I have been waiting to ink these gorgeous Stamps up since I received the lovely Spring Set from the Magnolia Stamp Club, a week ago. Longing Tilda looks so adorable, and I love this Castle Window! I have coloured the images with Distress Inks onto Watercolour Paper. Window is cut with Nesties.

I have backed the Window onto a Mat by DCWV. then layered it onto gorgeous Paper, Rose Garden by Papermania.

I have added Eyelets in four corners of the Window image and threaded Pink Satin Ribbon. The Butterflies are also from the Spring Set. I have finished it off with White Braiding, Pink Bows, Flowers and Stickles.

Leaf and Lattice Punch by MS.

Onto my Card - I have used another gorgeous Sweet Pea Image, and coloured her with Promarkers and Stickles. I have used Nesties to mount her on, and Papermania Papers. Butterflies are Stamped and Embossed onto Vellum and coloured with Promarkers. Scroll Corner Dies are Sizzix.

On to my Card. I have used Parchment Vellum to Emboss my Butterfly and coloured it with Glimmer Mists.

It has a lovely sparkle which doesn't show up too much on the photo's!

I have also use Mcgill and Fiskars Punches, and used Marrianne Flower Dies cut in Vellum and coloured.

Finished off with Pearls and Ribbon.

I managed to get this finished today. Cute Princess Tilda...thanks to my blog- bud Vicky for this adorable image. Vicky is one amazing crafter, please pop over and see her awesome creations!

Princess Tilda is coloured with Distress Inks on Watercolour Paper. Paper is by Papermania. Punch by MS.

Butterflies are Sizzix, cut in Vellum. I have finished off with Ribbon, Feather, Pearls, Roses and

loads of Stickles!

Dragonflies

Another card I managed to fininsh today! This time Tilda is coloured with Promarkers and matted onto a Marianne Die. Papers are English Paper Co.

Dragonflies were a free stamp that I have embossed and stickled, and added beads and pearls

I have finished off with Lace, Pearls and Flowers.

MCFC Challenge 13.

This fortnight at Magical Crafts the theme is For The Girls! You can do any Craft, as long as you stick to the theme. This week is sponsored The Stamping Boutique and the winner will receive 3 Digital Images of their choice. The DT were given some wonderful images from the "Princess Jennifer Latte" collection.
