Altered Mail Slider

Right, I finally got this finished today after seeing it half-done in the previous post (WOYWW). It's a Christmas Altered Mail Slider. Firsly I used Gesso all over, then used Distress Inks to colour. I then used a Music score stamp on the background, and the "Joyeux Noel" in red stazon on the front. I used some Stampbord for the Santa Image and a rub-on. I edged the Santa and entire Slider with Gold UTTE.

For the inside, I have Used a few stamps, some grungeboard, a couple of glass sliders, ribbon, beads, gems and an Anna Griffin Die-cut. I just love the saying inside!

Here is the back of the Slider - A few embellies and some more grungeboard!

WOYWW

Well, here we are, yet ANOTHER Wednesday - and nearly November!!! This year has really flown by. This morning on my desk, I am trying to finish off this little 6x6 scrapboard for my grandson's bedroom. He's one next week, and his Mum has been asking for one of these for a while now! I have got a box frame for it to go in - so hopefully it will be finished this week.
To the left on the mat, is some skeleton leaves that have had some glitter stuck on the tips, and then some seed beads and pearls stuck on them. I think they're pretty boring as they come but glitzing them up like this makes them at least useful! I think I saw that Prima are releasing them
and decided to have a go at doing them myself. It's cheaper! Lol..... At the back off the Mat are my ATC's that need to be sent off for a Forum Swap
I knew there was something I needed to do!! And the Father Christmas inked up at the back are ready for........well.......SOMETHING.
As is all this Christmas stuff, at the side of my desk. I really need to stick to one project at a time instead of having about 5 on the go at once. The card on the right is for a challenge this week. YES, I know the calendar on the wall says Feb 2008, but damn it, I just can't bring myself to take this picture of my Italian God off the wall!!!! I hoped you enjoyed looking around my desk today, why not go and have a nose around other Crafty Desks over at Julia's http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/. If nothing else, you're bound to laugh out loud when you read about her antics at this wonderful Blog, including this week, her Banana Plate! and her amazing opinion on the new Epic!! Lol.....

A truly wonderful cause.

Over at http://diecutdreams.blogspot.com/ this week the theme is "Babies Are Us". Supporting Baby Loss Awareness Campaign 2009 and focusing on the Global Wave of Light on October 15th. Why not pop over to Susie and Vikki's blog to read all about how to get involved in this wonderful campaign.
So this weeks challenge is to make a Baby Card. I have made a Side-Step Card, which I have been wanting to try for a few weeks! I have used Cream Card for the base and used K&Co. Paper. Iv'e also used a "Wonderful" Stamp, and pink heart and teddie Ribbon on the back step and stamped a sentiment on the middle step. At the front I have used a Pale Pink Ribbon that has Teddies, Dummies, Prams. Bottles and Baby Feet woven into it! For the side Panel I have used a K&CO. Die-cut. A sheer dotted pink Ribbon and a pink Button. In the right hand corner I have placed a pair of tiny silver baby feet.

This pram is underneath the side panel, and can be seen from the side of the card.

Thanks for taking the time to look, I hope you like it, as I really enjoyed making it!
